Alix, Dental Hygienist
Alix’s role as a hygienist is to help patients improve their oral health and overall health. Her duties include teeth cleanings, periodontal therapy, x-rays, fluoride applications, administering local anesthetic, and educating her patients.
Alix graduated from Indiana University Northwest in 2015 and started with Beacon Hill Dental the same year. Her favorite part about a patient's visit is building friendships and hearing about the exciting things happening in their lives. She loves building personal connections with people and helping them achieve their oral health goals.
Outside of dentistry, Alix loves spending time with family and friends and taking trips to new places.
Julie, Dental Hygienist
Julie attended Indiana University Northwest to study dental hygiene and joined the Beacon Hill Dental team in 2014. As a dental hygienist, her goal is to help her patients improve their dental health. Her duties include performing teeth cleanings, periodontal therapies, fluoride applications, x-rays, and educating patients on ways to improve their oral health. Julie loves establishing relationships with patients and ensuring that their dental experience is a positive one.
When she’s not helping her patients, Julie likes spending time with her husband and two kids, golfing, and spending time outdoors.
Brandy, Dental Assistant
Brandy attended Hammond Area Career Center for 11th and 12th grade, where she studied dental assisting. She then went on to complete her education at Indiana University Northwest. She started in the dental field in 2018 and began working at Beacon Hill Dental the same year.
As a dental assistant, Brandy’s job is to make every patient feel comfortable and relaxed while she and the doctor work to create a healthy smile. Her duties include assisting the doctor in restorative procedures and taking x-rays. She loves getting to know her patients and making them happy and comfortable at each visit.
Brandy enjoys spending time with her family, boyfriend, and dog Rallo in her spare time.
Pia, Office Manager
Pia studied dental assisting in high school through a trade school called the Career Center. After graduating, she continued her studies in dental education at Indiana University Northwest. Her career at Beacon Hill Dental started when she was hired as a front desk receptionist and offered the position of office manager six months later.
Pia’s job as office manager is to present dental treatment plans to patients and guide them in making decisions that help them achieve a healthy smile. She enjoys connecting with patients on a personal level and loves the confidence patients develop in their smiles. For Pia, it’s a joy to see their expectations met.
Outside of dentistry, Pia enjoys spending time with her family, vacationing, and entertaining.
Jill, Insurance Coordinator
Jill has been in the dental field since 2002 and started with Beacon Hill Dental in 2021. She loves everything about working here, from the dental team to the doctors to the fun atmosphere of the office.
Jill’s responsibility as insurance coordinator is to assist our patients by answering their questions and helping them understand their insurance benefits. She enjoys getting to know our patients and building relationships with them and their families.
Outside of dentistry, Jill enjoys fishing, boating, and traveling.
